Five things we agree before we build.
What an integration does is decided up front, not in the code. We settle these five points with you for every integration.
Which system is the source of truth
Which system has the final say, field by field? For example: the membership system owns name and membership status, Moodle owns progress and results. Otherwise an email address a learner changes in Moodle simply gets overwritten at the next sync.
Which way data flows, and when
Does data flow one way or both ways? And does it move the moment something changes, or on a schedule, say every night? That decides how quickly a new member or employee shows up in Moodle.
How each record is processed
What happens on create, update and close? Is a leaver suspended or deleted, is their course history kept, and what do we do with a record that doesn't add up, such as a missing email address or a duplicate account?
How failures become visible
When processing fails, someone needs to know. We agree what gets logged, who gets alerted and how a failed record is processed again, so errors don't sit unnoticed in a log file.
Who owns what
Who manages the other system and its API, who picks up an alert, and who updates the integration when Moodle or the other system moves to a new version? That is settled before the integration goes live.
Worth knowing: we don't have a ready-made connector for every system. We build on what the other system offers. If it has no API or usable export, you'll hear that during discovery. We never ask for passwords, API keys or production data through a form on this site.

KNLTB Academy
We built the LMS behind the KNLTB Academy on Moodle and built its integrations with external systems ourselves.
SnelStart Academy, with Profidor
Profidor worked out the functional design. We handled the complete technical build in Moodle, including the system integrations we built for it.
