Fair use policy.

To keep Moodle hosting competitively priced, many customers run on our shared Moodle platform, where several environments share the same infrastructure. This is generally not a problem, as the platform is fully optimised for Moodle. However, the following rule applies:

Your Moodle environment must not place a disproportionate load on the shared platform.

This is to prevent one environment, through heavy cron jobs, large file uploads, demanding reports or peak traffic, from affecting other customers, making their environments slow or unavailable.

If we conclude that your usage exceeds our fair use policy, we will work with you to find a solution. That may mean a custom solution, such as optimising a plugin or process, or moving your environment to dedicated resources.

The fair use policy is primarily intended to prevent abuse and to keep performance stable for all customers.
